About the Founder
Brisa Trinchero is a life-long lover of theater, passionate about sustaining and enhancing the musical theater art form. With a background in both theater and business, her unique combination of skills, experience, and education have allowed her to achieve success in the industry.
As a two time Tony Award winning Broadway producer, Brisa founded Make Musicals and the Running Deer Musical Theater Lab in order to support new musicals at all phases of development. Through Make Musicals, Brisa hosts exceptional writing teams at the Lab, maintains a blog addressing the art and business of new musicals and serves as a consultant to new musical festivals/developers around the country. Brisa also co-founded Dress Circle Publishing, a boutique publisher of theater-themed books.
Brisa was Executive Director of The Broadway Rose Theatre Company, for several years and has served as a musical theater panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts, the Regional Arts & Culture Council, and is a member of several arts boards including the junior board of New York City Center. Brisa was selected as a Top 40 Under 40 Business Leader by The Portland Business Journal.
She has a degree in music, an MBA in finance and is a graduate of the Commercial Theatre Institute. She is a proud member of the National Alliance of Musical Theater, Theater Communication Group, League of Professional Theater Women, and The Broadway League.
