About the Founder
Brisa is an active theater producer and arts/tech entrepreneur specializing in the business of Broadway and the intersection of arts and technology.
A two time Tony Award winning Broadway producer, Brisa’s theatrical endeavors include over 18 Broadway shows including Pippin, The Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, and many others.
Brisa serves as the Managing Director of Brand Engagement for live event ticketing innovator Forward Market Media.
In 2011, Brisa co-founded Dress Circle Publishing, a boutique publisher specializing in entertaining books about Broadway and by Broadway authors. Bestselling titles include Ruby Preston’s Broadway Trilogy, Jennifer Ashley Tepper’s The Untold Stories of Broadway and Seth Rudetsky’s Broadway Diaries.
She also founded the nationally recognized arts incubator, Running Deer Musical Theater Lab, in order to support new work and host summits focusing on arts innovation.
Prior to coming to New York, Brisa served as the Executive Director and Development Director of Portland, Oregon’s largest musical theater company for several years, leading a multi-million dollar capital campaign and overseeing rapid growth while maintaining the organization’s financial stability. She was named a “Top 40 Under 40 Business Leader” by the Portland Business Journal.
She frequently serves as a theater selection panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts. She has a degree in music, an MBA in finance and is a graduate of the Commercial Theatre Institute.
